Josephine Adams Hill

1788      Jesse Hardy Sr., a son of Phineas Hardy Sr., (No. 195) married Rebecca Bailey and settled here on a part of the home farm. He married (2) Rhoda Wood, (3) Mary Smith. He died in 1816. (SH page 210)

1817     Amos Hardy, a son of Jesse, married Mary Cumings. They resided here and raised a family of six sons and one daughter. (Stephen Smith)

1877     Charles H Adams bought the place and lived here until his death.

1930      Josephine Adams, his daughter, inherited the property. She married Fred Waldo Hill on May 14, 1943. In 1954, they live in Nashua and use the old homestead as a summer residence.
