“Hollis Nichols, a resident of Hollis, NH, had a passion for land stewardship practices and land protection. His particular interests in agriculture, horticulture, and land protection were demonstrated by his generous contributions of land and money over the years and the plans for his demonstration farm project here at Beaver Brook. His other passion was fostering a greater awareness and appreciation of our heritage through innovative and practical restoration of old buildings. Maple Hill Farm (our visitor's center/office) is an excellent example of Hollis Nichol's love for restoration.”
