ROBERT HACKETT 1997 Town Report
Mr. Hackett had a love of the land. He helped to keep the rural atmosphere of the town alive with the farming of his fields on NIain Street. His cows grazing in the pastures gave us a pastoral picture, which reminded us of the roots of this community, which was farming. His cows were important to him, and he enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. He had many school groups in to learn about the care of animals. He taught children where their milk came from, not a carton in the grocery store. He was a CONSERVATIONIST.
