Flint Hill Well

May 29, 1903, Article in the Hollis Times Newspaper

A new well has been drilled at Fred Martin’s plantation on the west side of Flint’s Hill which is expected to furnish an abundant supply of water. This well is curbed with a six inch pipe and is over 80 feet deep. A large pump has been installed in position and a windmill will be erected in the near future.

Other extensive improvements are being carried to completion on this land. Plans are being made to keep about fifty swine, and these will be allowed the freedom of the orchard in which there are 6000 peach trees, all of which are in thrifty condition, although some of them are not showing any signs of a crop this season.
